The Swindale Lab

I am a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of British Columbia. I study the brain using computational and experimental methods. I am particularly interested in brain maps and their development. I am also interested in how nerve cells communicate with action potentials in the adult brain. Have a look at work done by myself and my students and post-docs under research, publications and software. You may be interested in the courses I teach, or the people who have worked in the lab. You can find more information about my scientific career here and my musical activities outside the lab here.
